Behavior Plan

Behavior Plan

Behavior Plan

It is my goal to make the classroom environment one in which all students can learn and be safe. This can only be done through the establishment of clear and fair expectations. I expect all students to make appropriate behavioral choices. Therefore, I have established the following rules and consequences for my classroom.

Classroom Rules:

1.      Listen when others are talking.

2.      Follow directions.

3.      Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

4.      Work quietly and do not disturb others.

5.      Show respect for school and personal property.

6.      Work and play in a safe manner.

Each student will keep track of his/her behavior through a behavioral chart system. The goal for each day is for the student to keep their green card.     In most cases, students are given a verbal warning before

cards are pulled.

Consequences:

  • If a rule is broken, the student will pull a yellow card. This will serve as a warning for the student to change his/her behavior.

  • If two rules are broken, the student will pull a blue card. This will mean that the student will miss all of recess.

  • If three rules are broken, the student will pull a red card and parents will be notified of the inappropriate behaviors either by note or a phone call.

  • Severe misbehavior will be referred to the assistant principal or principal for assistance.

Rewards:

Good behavior will be rewarded with a "caught being good" ticket and savings points through our school program which can be cashed in for prizes at the end of the nine weeks.

Parental involvement and support with behavioral expectations is crucial in order for this plan to work. Your help is greatly appreciated.
