This is my 15th year teaching! In Echols County, I started in first grade for 4 years. I moved to 3rd grade for another 4 years and now here I am in fifth grade! Each level has taught me something new. I know the beginnings and the work that goes into helping your child to read! I also know the struggles they can encounter along the way. By fifth grade, those gaps can be widening and the content is deepening. Together as students, parents, and myself, we will work hard to make your child's learning the optimal experience he or she can have.

I love teaching Social Studies to fifth graders! I mean I really love it! I hope your kids catch that excitement and develop not only a love for the subject area, but also a love for learning.

Granted, once the day is over, I cannot wait to get home to my family, my husband and little girl! I love my mini pigs, dogs, and other animals. You can usually find us playing outside or gardening. 

I hope that while we are in school together, we will work hard and grow in knowledge together. I also hope that we will play hard and grow in a love for life. Learning happens everywhere, in all forms. May we never be confined to learning just between the hours of 7:40-2:30. I hope your children discover that learning happens in every facet of life and from everything we can glean something!
